We developed Write My Memoirs because we had been keeping notes of various events in our lives – events we wanted to be sure to leave a record of for our children and grandchildren. None of us had been famous in the greater world, but all had lived interesting lives and had experienced special events that were worth recording. For some of us, writing about a certain event offered therapy, allowing the author to get the event out of his system and onto paper. In most cases, our writing was motivated by questions asked by our children and grandchildren.

Our lives are part of history. Memiors and autobiographies of each one of us are important, to our off spring and to the world in general. It's important that all these events be recorded for history. The computer makes it easier to do than ever before.

 So our gang joined together and built Write My Memoirs, a system that makes it easy for everyone to start recording their life memiors and stories about their families. Among our team, everyone agreed the hardest part was just getting started. So, we wrote some helpful tips for Write My Memoirs subscribers, suggesting how to begin. A timeline, a list of inventions through time and a list of famous people were added to help you recall your own history.

 Our most important goal was to offer all our subscribers an easy-to-use system, one that could provide a record of all those memories that otherwise could be lost – whether a single important event, or an entire autobiography.

  Capturing the details of your life is a priceless gift -- to yourself and to your family. Even the little details of your life – for example, the first car you bought (and how little you paid!) -- will be so interesting in the eyes of your younger family.
