We developed Write My Memoirs because we had been keeping notes of various events in our lives – events we wanted to be sure to leave a record of for our children and grandchildren. None of us had been famous in the greater world, but all had lived interesting lives and had experienced special events that were worth recording. For some of us, writing about a certain event offered therapy, allowing the author to get the event out of his system and onto paper. In most cases, our writing was motivated by questions asked by our children and grandchildren.

Our lives are part of history. Memoirs and autobiographies of each one of us are important, to our offspring and to the world in general. It's important that all of these events be recorded for history. The computer makes it easier to do than ever before.

So our gang joined together and built Write My Memoirs, a system that makes it easy for people to start recording their memoirs and stories about their families. Everyone on our team agreed that the hardest part was just getting started, so we came up with some helpful tips for Write My Memoirs subscribers, suggesting how to begin. A timeline, a list of inventions through time and a list of famous people were added to help you recall your own history.

Our primary goal was to offer all our subscribers an easy-to-use system, one that could provide a record of all those memories that otherwise could be lost – whether a single important event, or an entire autobiography.

It is a goal of ours to reach at least 1 million of the more than 100 million citizens over the age of 40 and encourage them to record memoirs for their descendants. If you like the program, please tell your friends.
